The sixth annual JMBLYA did not disappoint as the hip-hop festival visited Dallas, Austin and Houston May 4-6, respectively. The traveling Texas festival played host to over 80,000 total attendees throughout the weekend. Year six of JMBLYA officially became the biggest one yet as the festival became one of the largest music festivals in each host city, as well as in both Texas and the Southern US region as a whole.
In Austin, the festival was held at Circuit of the Americas, expanded to two stages and welcomed headliners like J. Cole, Migos and Young Thug.
The day started with performances from up-and-coming artists Cozz, Killy, Jack Harlow then proceeded to some of the more popular artists Playboi Carti, Trippie Redd and Ski Mask who then finally turned the stage over to T.I., Young Thug, Migos and heavyweight J. Cole.
J. Cole closed out the fest each night, performing tracks from his recent record-breaking album, KOD, which was just released last month, as well as some of his other hits like “No Role Modelz” and “A Tale of 2 Citiez”. His energy captivated the audience from the start of the set as he performed hit after hit and took some time in between to talk to the audience and emphasize the importance of love.
See you in 2019 JMBLYA.
