The Red White and Boobs burlesque and variety show promised a sultry and silly adventure. The show, which took place July 5th at Lotus Nightclub, included performers from Tucson, Austin, San Antonio, Albuquerque and El Paso. Siren Saint Sin, founder of Lotus Blossoms Burlesque, produced a stunning show that awed fans. Time flew by as performer after performer gave it their all as the crowd cheered and jeered at their disrobing. With names like Raisin Wood, Feisty Baudelaire and Fannie Incognito there was no doubt about the sexiness of this show. Jazz Bubbles was all fun tossing a large beach ball into the crowd. She quickly changed the mood as she laid down the beach towel and began to oil every inch of bare skin she had. Betti Mae Wiggle was on a league of her own as she mostly bared it all next to a baseball locker only to get all dressed up again. I realized that watching someone get dressed can be just as fun. Bethany Summersizzle had a bendy performance that was part dance part gymnast. Boylesque? Well let’s just say that men can take it off on stage too. Rex Starchild performed as spiderman and Matt Finish brought jungle fever to the house as he disrobed behind a handful of bananas. The variety show also included belly dancers and comics.
