The tattoo community has grown to mammoth proportions in El Paso and Issue 72 of Fusion marks the fifth time we highlight the annual Texas Showdown Tattoo and Music Fest on the cover of our magazine. Our plan was to call on local tattooed models and provide them an opportunity to be featured on the cover. The casting call was successful as we were able to choose two easy going, beautiful and sexy models, Cory Duran and Serenity Plaza! The idea for this shoot was to create a juxtapose between a badass tattooed girl and summery west coast beach Americana type clothes and props.
We’d like to thank the super talented photographer and Fusion collaborator Dr. Mongo (the mad genius) for providing us with his skills and the use of his work space. We’d also like to thank Mariana Castro and Mayra Acosta from OM Boutique for providing hair and make-up.
