Issue #56 is out. We are glad to continue our effort to promote the best in art, music, and culture along the borderland. This issue features Eddie Vedder, lead singer of monumental (grunge era) rock band Pearl Jam, on the cover. We also interview Barbara Carrasco and Beto O’Rourke as they battle head-to-head to fill the seat left behind by Silvestre Reyes for U.S. Congressional District 16. Soulfood Taqueria features an interview with Arturo Vega, who designed the logo for popular 70‘s punk band The Ramones, considered to be the fifth Ramone. This month’s The Lost and Found highlights late 70’s Chicano punk band, The Zeros, often tagged as the Mexican version of The Ramones. Lastly, we cover Corona Capital Music Festival in Mexico D.F. which featured The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine, and The Hives amongst others in a piece titled “Hola Corona Capital, Nos Volvemos a Encontrar.” We hope you enjoy Issue 56 as much as we enjoyed creating it. El numero #56 de Fusion Magazine esta aquí recién salido del horno, estamos complacidos en continuar con nuestro esfuerzo de promocionar lo mejor en arte, música y cultura a lo largo de la frontera. En esta edición tenemos en portada al mítico cantante de la agrupación Pearl Jam y portavoz de toda una generación, me refiero al inigualable Eddie Vedder. También entrevistamos a los candidatos al ocupar el sitio en el Distrito 16 en el Congreso de U.S. Barbara Carrasco y Beto O’Rourke. En Soulfood Taquería tenemos una entrevista con el artista chihuahuense Arturo Vega, que diseño el mítico logotipo de la banda The Ramones y es considerado el quinto Ramone. En nuestra querida sección Lost and Found reseñamos el primero disco de la banda 70’tera The Zeros, muchas veces descritos como la versión chicana-punk de los Ramones, también pudimos asistir al Corona Capital en México D.F. donde pudimos captar lo mejor de bandas como: The Black Keys, Florence and The Machine y The Hives entre otros en un gran articulo llamado “Hola Corona Capital, Nos Volvemos a Encontrar”.
