A cold  and rainy day in Los Angeles created the perfect landscape and atmosphere for the Inquisitional Tourture that took place at The Mayan. A sold out event that regardless of the monstrous traffic in downtown, brought together many ghouls to be witness of what is known as one of the most extreme metal bands from England—Cradle of Filth.

What I saw was something beyond my expectations; it was not a new material promo show, it was a truly nostalgic and memorable show for old school and die hard fans of COF. Shivers conquered my body as the first song “Humana Inspired to Nightmare” started, which is the intro from my favorite COF album, Dusk And Her Embrace. Many classic songs, some of them more obscure than others, followed this grand opening.

British humor and speeches, decorated by Dani’s hard-to-understand voice in between songs, accompanied this flawless set that could really  be endless, even after almost 2 hours of malice.

The show concluded with a black mass of people outside of The Mayan that attracted the weird looks of the people passing by. The weather was colder, and the way back home was quiet, as  if the whole day was dedicated to this performance.
