This past Wednesday The Sargent House Tour stopped by El Paso, Texas. Like last year, TTNG and Mylets both made an appearance at the 2014 tour this time including special guest Emma Ruth Rundle—vocalist of the band Marriages.
Collisions were the first act and showed great energy—this was the bands first show after their recording sessions at Sonic Ranch. After them, Emma Ruth went on to play a very mellow but commendable set which included a variety of songs from her demo, her latest album as well as a few unreleased songs.
Mylets, a solo project from a fellow named Henry, gave a fantastic show—using drum machines, loop recorders and a vast collection of guitar effects. His performance had the efficiency and intensity of a entire band.
TTNG (This Town Needs Guns) headlined the show. Their performance was a combination of jokes and music. With a set based on new and old songs, they also surprised the crowd with performances including guests from the other touring bands .
