Marfa Book Co. & Gato Negro

OThursday, January 4th at 6 pm at the Crowley Theater, Marfa Book Co. will present a talk by the publishers of Gato Negro Ediciones, a Mexico City-based risograph publisher. Leon Munoz and Juan Pablo Lopez, who are visiting Marfa to meet with Zoe Leonard whose poem-manifesto, “I want a president” the Gato Negro bootlegged in 2017, will cover a large table with a selection of their publications and will discuss their vision and methods. After the talk, they will take questions about individual publications, which will also be for sale. It’s a rare opportunity to learn more about contemporary publication from two innovative and excellent publishers.
