This past February, Gardens & Villa working along with Tim Goldsworthy (Cut Copy, DFA Records, Hercules & Love Affair) released their second EP “Dunas” in Benton Harbor, MI. The quintet from Santa Barbara, CA, comes armed with guitar, flute, bass guitar, drums, keyboards, vocals and synth to fight this war called indie music scene. After experimenting with folk and electronic music, and hunted by their punk past, Gardens & Villa came up with a mix of cool words and a nice variation of beats to add a synthpop vibe to their style.

Right now Gardens & Villa are on tour promoting “Televisor”, a compilation of what they call “a collection of musical sketches” into an EP, including recorded sessions with Richard Swift (The Shins) and Tim Goldsworthy. As a gift to their fans, Televisor is available for download at the band’s official site. Gardens & Villa are performing this Thursday November 6th at the Lowrow Palace at El Paso, TX.
