MOTHER OF PEARL Vinyl, premieres with its very first Block Party this September!Leading the stellar line up is, electronic band led by Alan Palomo (in front), NEON INDIAN, as well as Californian DJ, J ROCC. Also coming to MOP’s Block Party is Chris Manak, best known for mixes under the name PEANUT BUTTER WOLF, as well as rapper Mike Jones. Local bands performing at MOP’s Block Party include Mattox, Spanking, PARTY TIME, SLUUR among others.
Also premiering this month is the PLAZA CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL with a display of cult movies playing at the legendary Plaza Theatre in El Paso, TX.
In music we feature psychedelic cumbia band from Chicago, DOS SANTOS DIGITAL EVP. Additionally, we feature a young and intriguing Venezuelan producer ARCA, as well as a sweet selection of albums recommended by our friends from MOP titled RECORDS FEELING RIGHT NOW #2.
Two hot projects getting noticed and acclaim are BORDER CULTURAL DIALOGUE as well as SWING magazine. Issue 83’s Lost & Found features Morrisey’s Kill Uncle and Fusion Gallery presents the art of Mitsu Overstreet!

Recién pasamos la mitad del año y lo mejor está por venir!
Fusion Magazine # 83 te da muestra de ello.
La tienda de vinilos MOTHER OF PEARL, se estrena en la escena de las fiestas “Block Parties” y nos presenta un elenco de primera, encabezando el line up tenemos a la banda electrónica NEON INDIAN liderada por Alan Palomo (en portada), el Dj californiano J ROCC, Chris Manak mejor conocido por sus mezclas bajo el nombre de PEANUT BUTTER WOLF y el rapero MIKE JONES. La escena local es representada por MATTOX, NALGADAS, PARTY TIME, SLUUR entre otras.
Otro de los festivales que abren sus puertas este mes es el PLAZA CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL con una exhibición de cintas de culto en el legendario teatro Plaza en El Paso Tx. En música tenemos desde Chicago a la cumbia sicodélica de DOS SANTOS y a las intrigantes PSICOFONIAS DIGITALES del joven productor venezolano ARCA, además de una selección de álbumes que han recibido el título de RECORDS WE´RE FEELING RIGHT NOW #2 .
Dos proyectos que están dando mucho de qué hablar y leer son el DIÁLOGO CULTURAL TRANSFRONTERIZO y la revista VAIVÉN, te contamos de que tratan. En nuestras secciones fijas de Lost & Found y FUSION GALLERY tenemos al maestro MORRISSEY con el exitoso álbum KILL UNCLE y el arte de MITSU OVERSTREET respectivamente.
