The first annual Marfa Myths Festival is on the cover of our 79th issue and preps us for what’s in stored for the month of March. Bands and artists such as ICEAGE, GROUPER, TAMARYN, and STEVE GUNN will be featured over the weekend of March 13-15 in Marfa, TX, at the Marfa Myths Festival.

In celebration of festivals and high powered shows in the Sun City, we feature an exclusive interview with Jono Grant of Above & Beyond who will be performing at the sold out show at Buchannans Event Center in El Paso, TX, on March 10. This month we talk to Gorilla Death Box who talks to us about their unique and heavy sound, adding to the variety of live music in El Paso has to offer. As we travel across the border into Ciudad Juárez, MX, we feature Mexican electro-rock band Fettish who talk to us about their sound and music. As we go further south of the border we feature the music of  Folk sensation Diego Puerto as well as the raw and emotional photography of Leo Martinez.
Lastly, we feature talented visual artist Carlos Esparza and his colorful strokes and intelligent illustrations in our Fusion Gallery.

El festival Marfa Myths en nuestra portada #79 es la muestra de lo que Marzo tiene preparado para nosotros. Con las presentaciones a cargo de artistas y músicos como ICEAGE, GROUPER, TAMARYN, STEVE GUNN entre otros, el MARFA MYTHS FESTIVAL viene a poner en acción a la frontera más radical de EUA y México del 13 al 15 de Marzo.

Aprovechando el ambiente festivo en la frontera la exitosa agrupación electronica ABOVE & BEYOND nos concedió una entrevista donde nos cuentan sus planes futuros y sus expectativas de tocar en el Buchannan´s Event Center el próximo 10 de Marzo en El Paso. Y continuando de aquel lado de la frontera llegan los riffs pesados de la banda GORILLA DEATHBOX que con su sonido heavy nos dan muestra de lo que musicalmente se está moviendo en El Paso. Desde Ciudad Juárez tenemos a la banda electro-rock FETTISH que nos hablan de las fusiones de sonidos que contiene su propuesta musical. Chihuahua se hace presente con el prometedor proyecto Folk de Diego Puerta “DROMEDARIOS MAGICOS” y el portafolio crudo y emocional del fotógrafo LEO MARTINEZ.
