Crowd

For the second time in this year, Mayhem and Watain toured the U.S, first with the Canadian black metal band Revenge, now with the Greek melodic black metal band Rotting Christ. In this second edition of the tour, El Paso was chosen to be part of the tour dates. This was the first time that Watain and Rotting Christ played here, and the waited return of Mayhem to El Paso.

The night started with Rotting Christ, warming up the crowd with great songs, and majestic guitar solos for one of the best bands I’ve witnessed live, Watain. As soon as Watain took the stage, the atmosphere turned real (by real I mean, real pig heads, real bones, real blood, real rituals), that left the crowd faces filled with blood after their set. When Mayhem took he stage, people went crazy; from beginning to end of their set, the crowd didn’t stop, and of course they didn’t want the warfare to stop. It was too good to be real.
