El Paso’s First Augmented Reality Showcase!
Augmented Reality / Artwork / Vendors / Music & More!
Nine individuals, digital artists (3D modelers, animators, painters, illustrators, motion graphic designers), programmers, and fabricators, have come together to create a digital playground that encourages exploration of the digital arts and current technological trends through the use of augmented reality. We are Augment El Paso (AEP).
Saturday, November 30th! The event will be held at Back In Black Creative Services’ (Frank Villasana) studio, located at 7100 Gateway Blvd. East (corner of Hawkins and I-10). The event is scheduled to run from 4pm- 12am (4pm-9pm: All Ages, 9pm-12am: 18+). Entry is FREE, but attendees are encouraged to donate a canned good that will be donated to Dame La Mano.

The event will house multiple areas where the public can:
1. View the artwork on display.
2. Scan the artwork with their own electronic device (smart phone and or tablet) and begin interacting with the 3D models or other digital content that populates onto the device being used.
3. Gain more awareness on the subject of augmented reality and digital design.
*AEP will have a limited number of tablets available for check-out for those without access to a mobile device. Free WiFi will be provided for those needing to download the app at the time of the event.
**A valid ID is required for alcohol and or tablet rental.
